About The Position

As a Systems Administrator in an enterprise test organization, the incumbent will be part of a thriving dynamic team of Systems Administrators and IT professionals. The test center support team maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, coordinates with network engineers, monitors and manages system resources, and performs systems security administration functions. To include, but not limited to, setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system-wide software and allocating mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. The incumbent makes recommendations for hardware and software purchases, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery, develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources, and may be assigned responsibility for less experienced staff. The ideal candidate is highly technical and has a proven commitment to quality with a solid understanding of systems administration concepts, network architecture, and familiar with the latest software development methodologies, technologies and application performance analysis. The candidate must be self-motivated and be able to work on multiple projects both with other team members, and with little supervision. The candidate must have strong troubleshooting skills and the persistence to resolve issues.

Requirements

  • Professional Experience: 5-8 years with a BS/BA degree or 11-14 years with HS diploma (including at least 5 in a recent systems administrator role)
  • Must hold a Top Secret/SCI security clearance
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50-60 pounds
