Click here to learn more about how this program “Delivers Mission Success!” We are seeking a highly motivated System Administrator with proven experience in installing, configuring, developing, and integrating prototype applications for technical evaluation. The engineer will be supporting a lab environment providing support for customers developing and testing experiments. Your Main Objective: Actively manage enterprise computer systems and networks, analyzing technical issues, and developing and implementing corrective actions. Observe and interpret visual outputs indicating the operating status of systems and network components for designated computer network infrastructure. Translate user requests into technical diagnoses, then apply diagnoses to develop technical solutions to meet user needs. Develop strategies to migrate existing customers to new architecture/technology with minimal impact. Evaluate new technologies or equipment that can be added to Agency standard solutions. Ability to maintain a proper security posture for systems by addressing relevant STIGs and IAVAs consistent with the NIST RMF.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus eight (8) years of relevant experience, or master’s degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience or an associate’s degree plus ten (10) years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plus 12-years of relevant experience may be considered. Degree must be in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
  • Able to obtain an IAT-I certification, such as: Security+ CE
  • Windows Systems Administration including installing, configuring, and maintaining bare metal servers and virtual machines to meet all customer security requirements.
  • Responsible for secure infrastructure and vulnerability corrections, data security, compliance, and backups and recovery.
  • Maintain SSPs, STE/STN requirements via RMF, Netseer, SEAR logging, patching, IAVMs, McAfee, and UAM
  • Security Clearance Requirement: Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph to be considered for this role.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Linux Systems Administration
  • Experience deploying and maintaining nginx
  • Familiarity with Docker and RedHat Satellite
  • Familiarity with cloud computing environments like AWS
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) products like Terraform, SALT and Ansible as well as system monitoring platforms like Prometheus and Grafana
  • Experience with SELinux and FIPS
