About The Position

About the Office The Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor (SNP) for the City of New York is a multi-jurisdictional law enforcement agency dedicated to combating complex narcotics and related offenses. Working in coordination with local, state, and federal partners, SNP plays a critical role in ensuring public safety through strategic investigations, prosecutions, and innovative criminal justice solutions. The Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor is seeking to hire a Senior Systems Administrator. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Network & Cloud Administration: Manage, maintain, and support the organization’s full IT infrastructure and service offerings Manage and support on-premises and off-premises virtualization infrastructure Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams Understand and support various storage platforms such as SAN, NAS cloud storage and cloud backup systems. Manage and support enterprise software and security patch deployment tools Provide end-user technical support and technical training Minimum Qualification Requirements: At least 5 years of experience in network administration, Windows Server administration, virtualization (VMware), cloud (Azure), and helpdesk support Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) Hands-on experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Active Directory environments Experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi administration Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across infrastructure layers Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Excellent documentation skills Public Svc Loan Forgiveness: As a current or prospective employee of the City of New York, you may be eligible for federal loan forgiveness programs and state repayment assistance programs. Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in network administration, Windows Server administration, virtualization (VMware), cloud (Azure), and helpdesk support
