About The Position

About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Systems Operations Engineer to join the COO Technology organization within the Chief Administrative Office (CAO). This team provides application and platform support for applications supporting critical business areas including Corporate Properties, Supply Chain Management, Corporate Security, and other CAO functions. The role focuses on production support and operational excellence, including incident, problem, and change management, BCP exercises, monitoring, triage, and coordination of major and minor incidents. The engineer will lead troubleshooting and investigation efforts across a complex application environment. This role is ideal for an operations-focused engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, always-on enterprise environment. In this role, you will: Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area Contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability Lead or triage major and minor incidents management. Perform problem management to identify root cause and preventative actions Create and monitor application health and reduce alerts and failures Monitor batch and feed management Investigate and troubleshoot failures Support Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery exercise Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 1+ years of experience in supporting cloud applications on OpenShift (OCP)
  • 2+ years of experience in Autosys
  • 2+ years of experience in databases (Oracle or MS SQL)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) team
  • Automation using Unix shell scripts or Python
  • Experience with Observability tools: Splunk, AppD, Grafana
