The position involves providing Tier III engineering and project support across a variety of systems, including but not limited to Windows 10/11, Office 365 applications, and both commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and in-house developed software. The role requires expertise in Azure Virtual Desktops, Azure Active Directory, and Azure cloud storage, as well as on-premise Active Directory service management, which encompasses DNS, GPO, DHCP, file services, user and group management, and PKI certificate management. Additionally, the position involves working with Microsoft Teams, Cisco WebEx, HYCU backup software, HP Network Attached Storage, HP Secure Print, Zscaler ZPA and ZIA, and AvePoint cloud backups. The successful candidate will regularly review the agency’s IT infrastructure to maximize system performance and efficiency, determine production infrastructure capacity to meet evolving demands, and identify design inconsistencies within the agency and M365 Active Directory. They will also be responsible for researching and contributing to a shared knowledge base to assist in troubleshooting and information sharing. Support for various IT projects, including data migrations, server migrations to Azure, network expansions, and new implementations, is also a key aspect of this role. Collaboration with vendor professional services and product vendors is essential, as is adherence to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and programmatic documentation requirements. The candidate will work closely with system owners, senior management, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with documentation standards, including SDLC and stage gates, IRB, and ATO-related documents. The role also involves updating policies and procedures to ensure consistent work quality, attending relevant technical and project meetings, and maintaining excellent communication and collaboration with all Tier teams. Leadership of MSM staff and assistance with task documentation, planning, and client communication are also required.
