Role Overview We are looking to hire a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Global Systems Engineering Team. As part of the team, you will oversee implementation, maintenance and consolidation of our global server infrastructure hosted in datacenters worldwide, acting directly on client facing systems. You will oversee the day-to-day operations as well as work on challenging projects aimed towards continuous improvement and evolution of our technology environment. The infrastructure itself represents a motivating challenge: Open source platforms and proprietary platforms spread across more than 1,000 servers located in 25+ data centers worldwide. The system infrastructure consists of multiple server platforms, SAN and NAS storage.

Requirements

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS (Microsoft Windows is a plus)
  • Automation tools and configuration management (Ansible)
  • Clustering (RedHat Cluster), Virtual IP management
  • Postfix, Apache, Tomcat, OpenLDAP/Active Directory/MySQL/MariaDB
  • Dell/HP/Cisco UCS servers
  • Scripting in Shell, Perl, Python
  • Virtualization Hypervisors Ovirt, RedHat KVM
  • Monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Spectrum, ITRS, Munin, etc.)
  • EMC, Hitachi SAN Storage
  • Cisco SAN switches
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 12 years of experience as a Systems Engineer
  • Building Linux systems from scratch on Dell, HP blades and/or Cisco UCS hardware
  • Motivated, hardworking, and exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work under extreme pressure
  • Good understanding of the risks and potential impact of working on a 24/7 live environment
  • Collaborate with international clients and global internal teams

Nice To Haves

  • AWS experience is a plus
  • Financial Services industry experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Engineering, implementation, and maintenance of Operating Systems and monitoring tools
  • Daily administration of systems infrastructure
  • Analysis and resolution of system related incidents
  • Coordinate the deployment of new hardware to meet client expectations
  • Develop and enhance system policies, procedures, and controls
  • Ensure adherence to Information Security guidelines
  • Continuous improvement in the quality and uptime of the environment
