Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a computer science, information technology, engineering, or scientific field or the equivalent plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
  • proven system administration past performance, including Linux and Windows administration, firewall and switch configuration and scripting and software development
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, while engaging in multiple tasks at once
  • Strong listening and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with computer virtualization and VDI architecture
  • Strong understanding of computer architecture

Responsibilities

  • Participate in network architecture design and review
  • Build, configure, and test new Linux and Windows based servers and workstations
  • Develop scripts to automate administration and auditing workloads
  • Implement NIST 800-171 and NIST 800-53 compliant procedures and security controls
  • Actively participate in the development of security practices and procedures to promote security across the organization
  • Perform security auditing
  • Provide IT support to employees in a fast paced, technically diverse environment
  • Thoroughly document system adds, changes, and modifications
  • Stay current with industry best practices, vulnerabilities and countermeasure solutions
  • Provide troubleshooting of network and software issues
  • Work in a team environment performing ISSO duties in coordination with and under supervision of an ISSM
