Raytheon seeks a Systems Administrator to join a high-performing team at the heart of an important US government function which helps the nation meet its national security strategy. This is for an on-site system administrator sustaining and maintaining a VM-based data system supporting a high visibility system critical to this agency's day-to-day and contingency operations. This architecturally complex, multi-networked system has many users who demand quick troubleshooting, active workflow management, and restoral operations as needed. The selected candidate will work an Operations and Sustainment team, embedded on-site, with customer presence, for a system considered mission critical by the customer. The system is responsible for successful 24x7x365 operations of the ASP side of the system, with very detailed assistance to the ISP part of the system. This position operates at a customer facility in Springfield, VA, and will coordinate with another team in St Louis, MO. This position is Mon-Fri 6:00am-2:00pm plus on-call one weekend per month.

  • Ensuring maximum system availability.
  • Conduct system updates/upgrades in coordination with the ISP and the support factory.
  • Conduct VM-based services to ensure system operation.
  • Support development/modification of technical documentation.
  • Complete and track lessons learned and metrics.
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI CI Poly security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Minimum Security+ DoD 8570 certification.
  • System administration across Linux systems.
  • Experience in the Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Certifications: RHCT or RHSA.
  • Experience with LDAP, NFS, TCP/IP, Splunk, Grafana, and NIS/NIS+.
  • Experience issuing and managing PKI Certifications.
  • Experience with SQL, C++ and Java.
  • Ability to work in an operational environment with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with dislocated or geographically separated operations.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to contribute to technical documentation.
  • Comfortable performing duties collocated with the customer and other operations center residents.
