About The Position

The Senior System Administrator / Engineer - Linux will support a high-visibility, mission-critical environment within an Intelligence Community (IC) enterprise. This role is responsible for the administration, engineering, and operational support of Linux-based systems and associated infrastructure services.
The standard duty schedule is weekday evenings and 12-hour Saturday/Sunday weekend shift as needed.

Requirements

• 10+ years Linux System Administration/Engineering experience
• Expertise with CentOS/RHEL, JBoss/WildFly, and VMware
• Security+ certification required
• Experience with Ansible, scripting (Shell/Python), and enterprise infrastructure
• Working knowledge of security compliance, networking, storage, and physical servers
• Familiarity with Oracle Database and JSON
• U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a security background investigation and polygraph.
• DOD 8570 Certification
• This position requires an active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Administer, engineer, and maintain Linux systems (CentOS/RHEL) in a mission-critical environment
• Install, configure, operate, and maintain JBoss and WildFly application servers
• Create, configure, and manage VMware virtual machines
• Support enterprise services across an IC-wide mission environment
• Perform system troubleshooting, performance tuning, and issue resolution
• Support security compliance requirements and authentication mechanisms
• Develop and maintain scripts to automate system administration tasks
• Administer and support physical server infrastructure
• Collaborate with storage, networking, and security teams as required
