About The Position

To manage, maintain and improve IT related systems and processes in use by credit union personnel and credit union members. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues by running thorough diagnostics, documenting problems and solutions, and prioritizing based on impact. Perform root cause analysis, implement preventive measures, and collaborate with teams to minimize downtime of IT systems. Support IT Department with project implementation and process improvement. Mentor other IT staff, sharing technical expertise, providing guidance, and fostering professional development. Monitor system performance and ensure the reliability and availability of systems. Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure. Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery and failover procedures. Performs other job related duties as assigned. Performance Measurements: 1. Ensure high system reliability by proactively maintaining infrastructure and minimizing downtime. 2. Respond swiftly to incidents and resolve issues efficiently while preventing recurrence. 3. Lead infrastructure optimization efforts to improve performance and reduce operational costs. 4. Maintain security and compliance by managing patches, monitoring threats, and supporting audits. 5. Provide leadership and mentorship within the IT team and collaborate across departments. 6. Requirements

  • Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
  • Education: (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
  • Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
  • Knowledge of office automation products, word processing, spreadsheet, e-mail, personal computers, PC operating systems, peripheral equipment, etc.
  • Must be able to work and travel independently and use general office equipment.
