About The Position

Bohler’s Melville, NY office, which supports work throughout the Long Island Metro area, is seeking a Senior Survey Project Manager who is passionate about precision, leadership, and quality in land surveying. In this role, you’ll oversee survey operations across multiple business units, partner closely with engineering and design teams, and engage directly with clients throughout the full project lifecycle. You’ll lead technical oversight, boundary analysis, quality control, financial performance, and staff mentorship while ensuring that all survey deliverables meet Bohler’s standards for technical excellence and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Surveying or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 10+ years of progressive land surveying experience, including project and team leadership
  • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with confidence engaging clients and internal stakeholders
  • Strong organizational abilities managing complex multi-project workloads
  • Proven multitasking, prioritization, and follow-through skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

Responsibilities

  • Lead survey projects across multiple business units, ensuring consistency in quality, schedule, and client experience
  • Prepare, review, and monitor field surveys, CAD work, plats, and final survey deliverables
  • Perform and oversee boundary analysis and computations for ALTA, topographic, utility, and roadway surveys using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Perform quality control on survey documents including survey plans, record plats, legal descriptions, and title commitment reviews
  • Coordinate scheduling and cost estimating in partnership with the Survey Manager
  • Manage financial performance of survey projects including proposals, billing, invoicing, and collections
  • Provide training, mentoring, and career development for survey field crews, CAD technicians, and support staff
  • Coordinate deliverables across departments, external partners, and client teams
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and quality management procedures
