Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or Associates of Science in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or equivalent degree
  • 7+ years of experience with desires to be a contributor to the team.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills to articulate technical concepts at all levels
  • Exhibits strong organizational and time management skills to be able to recognize, prioritize, and execute critical deadlines
  • Models a strong work ethic and is enthusiastic about learning and development opportunities
  • Working knowledge of Civil 3D, Carlson, Micro station and Microsoft office.
  • Experience with RTK GPS, Robotics total station, laser scanner, Trimble Access Data Collectors and Trimble Business Center

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise field survey crews in the collection of data for various types of surveys, including boundary, topographic, and construction surveys
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of survey data by reviewing field notes, sketches, and electronic data
  • Operate and maintain survey equipment, including total stations, GPS, and data collectors
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and deliverables
  • Prepare and review survey reports, maps, and drawings
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior survey crew members
  • Conduct quality control checks and ensure adherence to safety protocols on-site
