About The Position

Were hiring an experienced Operating Room Technologist III (Tier 3) to join a busy surgical team in Overland Park, Kansas . This senior-level technologist role supports multiple specialties including robotics, orthopedics, neuro/spine, vascular, and burn. As a Tier 3 technologist, you will be a go-to expert for complex and high-risk cases working side-by-side with top surgeons and mentoring newer team members. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery (TS-C) NCCT
  • Minimum 1 year of recent OR experience in a high-acuity hospital setting
  • BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
  • Must reside within 30 minutes of facility

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience in a major surgical center
  • Leadership or preceptor experience
  • Specialized training in robotic or vascular surgery

Responsibilities

  • Prepare operating rooms, instrumentation, and supplies for complex surgical procedures.
  • Anticipate surgeon needs and ensure seamless intraoperative coordination.
  • Maintain aseptic technique and ensure all equipment functions safely and effectively.
  • Take the lead on advanced procedures in robotics, vascular, or hybrid room environments.
  • Mentor junior surgical technologists and share best practices.
  • Support multidisciplinary teamwork among surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia staff.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond within 30 minutes when called.
