Ready to make an impact in orthopedics? Let’s grow together! We are seeking a Senior Supply Chain Specialist who will leverage their expertise to help drive our continued growth. The ideal candidate brings a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management plus 5+ years of Supply Chain Experience in a regulated environment (Medical Device preferred). As a Senior Supply Chain Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining supplier relationships, planning and issuance of purchase orders, monitoring supplier performance levels, and overall inventory management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management and a minimum of 5 years purchasing experience required, experience in a regulated industry (specifically med device) preferred
  • Previous ERP software experience required, NetSuite experience preferred
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and language relating to supplier and/or vendor agreements and contracts
  • Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with inventory management and optimization
  • Ability to manage projects and establish clear goals and accountability
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement processes or methods
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, with advanced Excel knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies to optimize procurement processes, reduce costs, and ensure the availability of high-quality materials and services.
  • Lead the supplier evaluation, qualification, and sourcing process, including conducting market research, negotiating contracts, and establishing long-term partnerships with reliable suppliers.
  • Assess potential risks in the supply chain and apply effective risk mitigation techniques, such as diversifying suppliers, implementing contingency plans, and continuously monitoring market conditions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional product launch teams to ensure timely and successful introduction of new products, providing procurement expertise and support throughout the development and launch phases.
  • Lead and manage high-priority business projects and implementations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Communicate and negotiate with suppliers on pricing, quality, and delivery to build strong relationships and strive towards cost saving opportunities
  • Purchase parts utilizing multiple system tools
  • Analyze and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenses
  • Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency
