Description RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the Hospital Materials Management or Procedural Areas Material Management Departments. Assists with supply budget management with variance investigation and reporting. Responsible for leader and staff management of materials teams. Responsible for short and long term planning, inventory level effectiveness/assurance, timely processing of purchase orders for equipment repairs and other ancillary items, and support to maintain purchasing contract compliance. Coordinates the evaluation of new products presented to the nursing units, ancillary areas or any procedural area (Cath Lab, Perioperative Services and IR service areas) and a member, or leader, of the respective Product Value Analysis Committee. Approver of par level adjustments identified by the materials management teams to avoid item expirations and identifies opportunity for cost savings. Monitors service contracts to ensure specifications are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree preferred or 8-10 years leadership and supply chain experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
