Generac is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Manager to support our brand new facility in Beaver Dam, WI! The Senior Supply Chain Manager is responsible for providing direction and guidance within the facility of responsibility to achieve 100% on time delivery through proper materials management and execution while optimizing working capital. Success in this role is defined achieving key goals in on time delivery, inventory accuracy, facility efficiency, and schedule attainment metrics.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management or related field OR related experience in the Supply Chain function within a similar working environment
7 years of progressive management experience in a similar working environment

Master’s degree
10 years of progressive management experience in a similar working environment
Supply Chain/Material Certifications - CPM, CPIM
Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP
Demonstrated ability to influence senior management, teams and individuals across multiple cultures, disciplines and geographies
Ability to collaborate with multiple sites and functions to drive common solutions
Sound business acumen operating in both High Mix, Low Volume and High Volume, Low Mix Production environments
Solid quantitative skill set and the ability to analyze, think and communicate with well-supported data
Strong problem solving skills with the ability to ask the right questions, help frame logical conclusions and arrive at effective solutions
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with material flow utilizing supermarkets and supplier pull replenishment models.

Responsibilities

Manage and direct supply chain team, purchasing, planning, and all materials management responsibiliti es (inventory control, receiving, shipping).
Ensure Supply Chain is synchronized with Production Execution capabilities to maximum efficiencies and lowest cost of operation.
Work closely with Production Leaders and their teams to achieve SMART goals and KPI’s.
Develop and challenge resources to improve performance through systems utilization and process improvements.
Lead and improve Order Management best practices, processes and policies that drive perfect order logic including order t ypes/policies, standardized lead times/tier pricing strategies, available-to-p romise (ATP), customer resource management (CRM) and electronic data interchange (EDI).
Lead and improve Planning/Manag ement ensuring SIOP plans are executed within the facility (system integrity and execution).
Lead and improve Purchasing in conjunction with the Strategic Global Sourcing team to reduce lead times and improve material margins through Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) model.
Lead and improve Material/Inven tory Management best practices including Plan for Every Part (PFEP)., ABC Analysis, Purchasing Methods (PO, Blanket, etc.), Warehouse Management (Cycle Count Accuracy, Transactions, Bar Coding, RFID) and Advance Replenishment Methods (MRP, Stocking Programs, VMI, Consignment, Re-Order Point and Direct Pull).
Lead initiative to ensure continuity of supply throughout the operations to achieve uninterrupted supply of quality components and assemblies.
Key partner with corporate Category Management in effectively measuring and monitoring supplier performance.
Champion of standard tools and methodologies and is a recognized subject matter expert (SME) providing training and certification.
Coach and mentor Supply Chain teams to improve engagement with local technical/comm ercial stakeholders and to establish communication channels between the cross functional teams.
Evaluate situations objectively and demonstrates the ability to make decisions that are intended to have a positive impact on work performance or area and the total business.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Act as SAP Super User within functional area as assigned.
