We are looking for a Senior Supply Chain Manager to be the supply chain lead for Military & Rotocraft Programs. This is an onsite role located in Windsor Locks and will support all EACS Production Sites. In this individual contributor role, you will own and develop the supply chain strategy and performance for the site while being the conduit into supply chain for other functions. Additionally, you will assist the team in assessing historical trends and analyzing the current environment, as well as develop and stay connected to a broad network across EACS to quickly receive and assimilate recent developments to anticipate, mitigate, and prevent supply chain risks. You will indirectly lead and coordinate cross-functional teams including supply chain, operations, engineering, quality, and value stream across EACS to identify root cause of supply chain issues and execute both short- and long-term solutions.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
  • Background/experience within Supply Chain, Procurement, Supplier Development, and/or Commodity Management.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within the aerospace, defense, or similarly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in a customer-facing supply chain role, including direct interaction with internal program teams and external customers.
  • Prior experience supporting military customers or defense programs.
  • Experience leading and executing change management initiatives within the supply base or internal operations, driving improved performance and alignment.
  • Experience applying continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, RCCA) to address cost, delivery, quality, or supplier performance challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the supply chain strategy and operational goals tied to site supply chain performance and future growth, as well as develop and implement new processes, standards, and operational plans to support the strategy.
  • Thorough understanding of your site’s key products, critical parts, barriers to delivery, historical challenges and trends, internal and external factors impacting supply chain (planning methodologies, customer restrictions, industrial and global economic impacts), key customer care-abouts relative to supply chain, etc., in order to be regarded as the foremost expert on your site’s supply chain and use this knowledge to inform the supply chain strategy.
  • Manage multiple concurrent supply chain critical issues, work with relevant parties to prioritize, determine root cause, devise solutions, execute, and mitigate impact; ensure stakeholders are kept informed of key developments
  • Employ change management practices to instigate initiatives, optimize processes, and embed a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization and along the value stream.
  • Create and execute a robust supply chain strategy for your plant site; improve your site’s supply chain performance
  • Lead cross-functional teams in evaluating existing supplier processes and identifying and executing improvement opportunities in alignment with organizational goals and improvement target and support occasional supplier visits
  • Present to executives both internally and at our external customers
  • Develop, analyze, and utilize appropriate metrics to measure and improve your site’s supply chain performance
  • Support of monthly sales & operations planning
  • Provide guidance and training, mentor and equip team members, business leaders, and staff with practical expertise
