About The Position

Senior Supplier Quality Manager Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Supplier Quality Manager to join our team in Mesa, AZ , supporting the our site in Mesa, AZ ! Position Responsibilities: Servant Leadership with strong People Focus and passionate about culture transformation Cohesive partnering / integration with the supply base, key program business partners, and first line leaders Focus on continuous improvement, the ability to recognize and implement opportunities to bring preventative best practices to the supply base, development of data driven initiatives aimed at reductions of quality related disruptions, and fostering a culture that embraces the Boeing Behaviors are key tenants of the position. Manages employees performing supplier quality activities to ensure that suppliers' production and quality systems, special processes, products and services meet purchase contract requirements and applicable regulatory agency and government regulations Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve supplier performance Provides education and coaching on the Quality System Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, business or technical field
  • More than 5 years of experience in Quality, Supplier Quality or Supplier Management
  • More than 5 years of experience managing or leading people or teams
  • More than 3 years of experience working in the aerospace industry
  • More than 3 years of experience with communication aond presenting strategies at executive/VP levels
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or higher
  • Experience working as a Quality Engineer or Supplier Quality Engineer
  • More than 1 year interfacing directly with suppliers
  • Experience working with Boeing Supply Chain tools and processes
  • 3+ years of experience working with quality systems (e.g., Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS91001))
  • Lean Six Sigma certification

  • Summary pay range: USD $144,500 - $195,500
