Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond? We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to join our Auxiliary Power Unity (APU) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the quality performance of our suppliers to ensure that all products and materials meet our stringent quality standards. This role involves working closely with suppliers, internal teams, and other stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001), and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience with supplier assessments, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with inspection tools and manual layout.
  • Proficiency in quality tools and software (e.g., Minitab, SAP, QLIK, Quality Management Systems).

Nice To Haves

  • Special process and NDT experience is a plus.
  • Certification in quality engineering (e.g., CQE, CQA) is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support and lead process improvement actions for APU Quality processes for both PWA and Supplier initiatives.
  • Engage with Suppliers to support supplier self-release requirements to train and approve supplier DQR’s
  • Lead 8D root cause and corrective action activities with suppliers to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to develop and implement quality improvement plans and initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance metrics, including quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and manufacturing, to address supplier-related quality and delivery issues.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to suppliers to ensure understanding and adherence to quality requirements.
