Senior Supplier Engineer - C&CA
About The Position
In support of the External Operations organization, the Sr. Supplier Engineer will focus on new product introduction, sustaining, and value improvement projects for the Connectors & Cable Assemblies (C&CA) and Sourced Finished Medical Devices (SFMD) categories. This role partners with cross-functional groups to resolve complex and critical supplier-related issues, while improving supplier performance, mitigating risks for supplied materials and driving strategies to support supply chain objectives. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of technical experience supporting complex mechanical or electrical systems
- Ability to travel 10-20% globally

Responsibilities
- Working with suppliers around the globe to understand assembly and finished good manufacturing processes and acts as technical expert to ensure repeatable and reproducible quality/reliability during the life of the product
- Serving as a technical lead in Global Sourcing category teams to establish and execute category objectives
- Investigating and evaluating new and existing technologies for use in future products or to improve quality/reliability of current products
- Interfacing with suppliers and category team members to support investigation of supplied material issues or supply constraints.
- Collaborating with R&D, manufacturing and process development teams on electrical and mechanical design requirements for new product development
- Partnering with cross-functional teams to execute changes initiated by BSC or suppliers, such as improvement projects, supplier capability, capacity projects, and compliance projects
- Coordinating all phases of supplier engineering work content for projects; communicate emerging issues and recovery action plans with site leadership and stakeholders to gain resources and support
- Identifying and executing material cost reduction projects to meet Plant, Division, and Category goals. Influences cross-functional team members to support and drive value improvement projects
- In all actions, demonstrating a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
