  • The Process Control Maintenance, Calibration, and Tool Crib Sr. Supervisor oversees the maintenance, repair, and calibration of equipment and instruments to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
  • This role provides leadership to technicians, prioritizes work activities, and ensures that all systems are maintained according to company procedures, manufacturer specifications, and applicable industry regulations (such as ISO, FDA, or GMP standards).
  • This position will also help support the facilities department and other cross-functional departments (when needed) by ensuring that their calibration, PM, and repair activities/requests are met in a timely basis.
  • Supervise and coordinate all maintenance activities for production equipment.
  • Supervise tool crib activities for production and developmental activities.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Oversee troubleshooting, repair, and installation of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and environmental regulations during maintenance operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Plan, schedule, and supervise calibration of instruments, gauges, and control devices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure all calibration metrics, including OOT, are completed in a timely manner without any overdue items.
  • Maintain the calibration database and ensure traceability to national/international standards.
  • Review and approve calibration certificates, reports, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with quality assurance to ensure calibration activities meet regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Identify instruments due for calibration and ensure timely execution without production disruption.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate manufacturing maintenance, calibration and tool crib technicians; promote professional growth and team development.
  • Support investigations and root cause analysis for equipment failures or calibration discrepancies.
  • Participate in audits and provide documentation to regulatory and customer auditors as needed.
  • Assist in budgeting, cost control, and capital project planning for maintenance, calibration, and tool crib functions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and measurement accuracy.
  • Review Job plans and work orders for potential optimization of workflow and/or improvements to manufacturing process.
  • Provide guidance for site prioritization of downtime equipment and tooling upkeep.
  • Oversee inventory management program for spare parts for manufacturing equipment and inspection tools.
  • Develop monthly schedules to ensure all of the equipment maintenance requirements are met on a timely basis while minimizing overtime
  • Manage priorities for tool crib to ensure business continuity and developmental activities remain on track.
  • Continue to develop the current In-House calibration capabilities of the department to decrease the dependency of outside vendor Calibration services
  • Continue to develop and source equipment for tool crib to create site competencies for increasing site capabilities.
  • Manage group of technicians
  • Maintain a Lean environment by utilizing 5S principles and techniques
  • Proactively improve the group’s logistics/process functionality and strive for enhanced levels of efficiency
  • Works on issues requiring the analysis of data, relevant factors and resolve problems.
  • Ensure site tool drawings are maintained and up-to-date, revised as needed.
  • University degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Requires a total minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience.
