About The Position
Flintco, LLC is seeking a Senior Superintendent to oversee large-scale construction projects that require extensive supervision and coordination. The Senior Superintendent will be responsible for managing multiple tasks and crews, ensuring that all subcontractor and supplier activities are aligned with project goals. This role is critical in maintaining the quality and safety standards that Flintco is known for, as well as adhering to Lean principles for continuous improvement. The Senior Superintendent will work closely with the Vice Presidents of Field Operations and Pre-Construction, as well as the project team, to review project schedules, specifications, and bid proposals. The position requires a proactive approach to project administration, operations, and safety compliance, ensuring that all personnel issues are addressed and that the project runs smoothly from start to finish. In this role, the Senior Superintendent will be tasked with orienting Project Superintendents and Foremen, coordinating subcontractor activities, and overseeing the submission of required documentation. They will also monitor jobsite production rates, track project schedules, and provide necessary information for pay applications. The Senior Superintendent will play a key role in project close-out and will be expected to attend all project owner meetings. Safety is a top priority, and the Senior Superintendent will implement and comply with the company's safety program, ensuring that all incidents are reported and addressed promptly. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction, with at least 10 years of progressively responsible experience. They should possess the ability to prepare detailed construction plans, read and interpret drawings, and manage large groups of personnel effectively. A high school diploma or GED is required, with an associate or bachelor's degree in construction management preferred. Experience in building dormitory or student housing is a plus. The role demands physical stamina, as the Senior Superintendent will be exposed to various weather conditions and may need to lift up to 50 pounds.
