About The Position

Amentum is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Submarine Electronic Warfare Specialist with expertise in AN/BLQ-10 to join our Groton, CT team . This position provides onsite installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of BLQ-10. What You'll Be Doing: Installing, monitoring, and servicing equipment and systems at Company and client sites. Performing or coordinating test and evaluation, checkout, and certification AN/BLQ-10 tasks. Performing validations/verifications of BLQ-10 operational electronic systems. Developing technical/engineering data for Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS), technical manuals, troubleshooting procedures, drawing updates, operation procedures, and maintainability improvements. Implementing Engineering Change Instructions (ECI). Training others in the operation and performance of the system(s). Interfacing onsite directly with the customer for equipment/system installation, testing, survey, fabrication, and other engineering tasks as needed. Ensuring compliance with engineering documentation standards, engineering plans, system specifications and test procedures.

Requirements

  • Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain an Active Secret Clearance
  • High School Diploma/GED and ten (10) years of practical experience OR degree/formal training and six (6) years experience. (Degree/Formal Training is defined as: Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science; or Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications; or four-year electronics apprentice program.)
  • Experience investigating, troubleshooting, and designing solutions to problems in operational hardware and software
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

  • VA Class SSN experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret US Government Clearance
