The VMEC Sr. Sub-System Lead Engineer (SSLE) is responsible for developing some of General Motor’s most advanced and exciting mobility features. This dynamic role supports innovative technology development applicable to autonomous, electric, and traditional internal combustion applications across various domain areas including Brakes, Chassis-Suspension, Diagnostics, Drivability, Drive Mode, Electrified Propulsion, High Voltage Battery, ICE/Hybrid Propulsion and Emissions, Propulsion Thermal Management, and Quality. Specifically, this role supports ICE/Hybrid Propulsion in Software-in-the-Loop and Hardware-in-the-Loop Virtualization activities. The Sr. Sub-System Lead Engineer (SSLE) is an individual contributor with recognized expertise, responsible for tasks and work throughout the entire vehicle development lifecycle, including requirements definition, design and implementation, testing, and problem resolution. Knowledge of Agile, systems engineering, requirements, embedded controls development, and calibration is a definite plus. A strong drive and tenacity to grow technically and professionally while working on General Motor’s exciting features is essential.
