About The Position

Osborn Engineering is seeking a Senior Structural Restoration Engineer with 15+ years' of experience to join our team. This position reports to the Manager of Structural Engineering and will work out of our Pittsburgh office location. Structural Engineers work closely with directors, managers and engineering staff to ensure client's needs and expectations are met and exceeded in a timely fashion. Osborn is a fully integrated multi-disciplined design firm that uses a specialized team approach to engineering projects. These teams are comprised of a staff of 300 plus professionals that provide designs for all phases of a wide range of projects. Osborn has specialists in civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and life safety, technology engineering, transportation and commissioning. Requirements

  • BS in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field.
  • 15+ years of structural design experience.
  • Structural analysis software experience.
  • Ability to work on several projects concurrently.
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • PE/SE is preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. (Preferred)
  • Experience designing multiple types of buildings, both architectural and industrial.

Responsibilities

  • Design of public and private development projects.
  • Preparation of drawings & specifications.
  • Conduct assessments and reports.
  • Preparation of construction documents, cost estimates, and technical specifications.
  • Opportunity to actively work on concrete, steel, wood and light-gage designs.
  • Interaction with in-house architectural and MEP project team members.
  • Interact directly with facility owners.
  • Attend meetings with clients, authorities having jurisdiction, and other professionals.
  • Project management.
  • Review designs prepared by others as part of the QA/QC process.
