About The Position

Epstein is seeking a Senior Structural Project Engineer to join our growing structural engineering team. The Project Engineer is responsible for the planning, control, and integration of engineering activities and the development of project deliverables to ensure the success of their project. Knowledge of BIM is preferred and previous experience with Revit Structure is desirable. The individual performs calculations, code and material research, and structural analysis, and assists in or oversees the production of plans, specifications, reports, etc. The capability to coordinate with other building design disciplines is important. The ability to work independently as well as delegate tasks and provide guidance and mentoring for less experienced structural team members is required. The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge of working/construction documents and detailed familiarity with model building codes.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
  • Licensure as a Structural Engineer.
  • 8-15 years of successful project experience with a consulting engineering or multi-discipline AE firm.
  • Previous experience with REVIT Structure (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and discipline specific software packages such as Robot, RISA-3D, RAM, SAP 2000, CONCEPT.
  • Awareness of other disciplines and the interrelationship of the various elements of design.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills; proficiency with complex analysis methods and model building codes.
  • Analysis and design experience in a variety of building structure types.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of BIM.
