About The Position

We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer with a minimum 10 years of experience, who wants to work and grow as a team player within our progressive multidiscipline firm. The successful individual will be a licensed structural engineer with solid experience in the design of steel, concrete, wood, and masonry commercial/institutional buildings.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Civil or Structural engineering
• Registration as a Structural Engineer (S.E.)
• 10 or more years of experience
• Experience with computer software programs and analysis systems such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, REVIT, ETABS, etc.
• Knowledge and experience with the International Building Code (IBC) and US design standards
• Excellent verbal, written, organizational, leadership, and time management skills
• Experience working as part of a multi-discipline design team
• This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
• This position is not remote.

Nice To Haves

• M.S. degree preferred
• Some experience with DSA and OSHPD projects preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee structural analysis, design, and detailing on a variety of commercial & institutional building projects
• Collaborate with the architect, owner, and contractor to provide a well-coordinated and high-quality set of structural drawings
• Lead and manage (or work closely with) a team of engineers, designers, and drafters to execute structural designs
• Meet with the project team to ensure effective communication flow during design
• Interface with the contractor during construction to ensure positive results with minimum complications
• Manage profitably of projects and maintain a working relationship with clients
• Actively interact with new and existing clients and provide consultation on architectural practices to help win new structural projects
• Work closely with the General Manager and assist in structural department production management
