Our Sr Strategy Analyst will be responsible for preparing and enhancing strategy reports, conducting ad hoc analyses, and monitoring the performance of strategies implemented across the organization. This role will work closely with teams to build relationships that support collaboration and accelerate the execution of new initiatives. Key responsibilities include analyzing portfolio trends, tracking performance metrics, managing inventory, and developing tools that improve business processes. This position plays a critical role in ensuring strategies are effective and aligned with operational goals. The ideal candidate will be an experienced analyst with a strong background in data-driven strategy, hands-on experience in reporting, data mining, predictive modeling, and forecasting. Familiarity with the student loan industry and its policies is preferred.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree- Business, Accounting, Marketing, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Finance. Additional equivalent experience above the required minimum may substitute.
5+ years of experience in reporting, analysis, and strategy development in the financial services industry.
3+ years’ experience executing query languages such as SAS / SQL.
Proven ability to effectively analyze and interpret large amounts of raw data to accurately convey business needs.
Demonstrated ability to identify issues of a complex nature and effectively resolve.
Strong verbal and written communication skills required to effectively and concisely present key findings to senior management.
Strong working knowledge in presenting quantitative data via PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Power BI etc.

Nice To Haves

Ability to adjust to fluctuating work load with the pressure of aggressive deadlines.
1-2 years as a Strategy Analyst.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
Experience in the financial industry.
Experience in the collection industry.
Proficiency with the Microsoft suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word).

Responsibilities

Strategy Development Create models and strategies to achieve business goals such as improved collection efforts, increased productivity, improved customer experience, etc.
Liaison with operations for strategy development, implementation and post implementation feedback.
Monitor strategy performance and communicate results in a timely manner.
Strategic Insights Use data mining techniques to continually search for trends and other insights which might be useful to the business leaders.
Apply visualizations so that the end-product is always clear, concise, and user friendly.
Ad Hoc Analysis Respond to requests for data and analytics needed by senior management team.
Assist with developing analytics which support operational changes.
Portfolio Analysis Analyze portfolio performance by combination of variables and metrics.
Understand the true drivers of operations strategy and decision—making.
Report Building via SAS, SQL, Power BI, MS Excel Maintain and Develop reporting related to strategies and portfolio performance.
Will include but not be limited to pre-default and post default lines of business.
