About The Position

This job posting is for upcoming opportunities. We are seeking a Senior Strategic Planner with extensive expertise with the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (DASW(CBRND)) within the Washington, DC area to join our team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • US Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within one of the components of the Chemical and Biological Defense Program or with an interagency equivalent.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Experience developing long-range strategic plans for DoD programs.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of DoD planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional strategic planning efforts for the Chemical and Biological Defense Program (CBDP), developing strategic plans, roadmaps, and implementation guidance.
  • Review and analyze current NCB and CBDP strategies and policies, including DODD 5160, CBDP Strategic Plan, and ASD(NCB) Strategic Guidance.
  • Integrate NCB/CB priorities into major DoD strategic documents including Quadrennial Defense Review, Defense Planning Guidance, and Guidance for Developing the Force.
  • Coordinate with CBDP stakeholders including Joint Requirements Office (JRO), JPEO-CBD, Joint Science and Technology Office (JSTO), Test and Evaluation Office, and military Services.
  • Participate in interagency planning meetings to implement NCB priorities, monitoring national and DoD strategic planning events and activities.
  • Develop metrics-based actionable strategies and oversight plans, creating implementation guidance documents for CBDP initiatives.
  • Anticipate Departmental and National strategic events and prepare CBDP responses, tracking and analyzing emerging threats and policy developments.
