About The Position

The position involves guiding and advising on strategic product opportunities to ensure competitive growth and advantage across Skillable’s product offering. The role requires researching and analyzing market trends, competitive environments, and potential business alignments for marketplace expansion. The individual will develop a pipeline of partnership opportunities within the GSI category to meet and exceed annual growth targets, create and maintain partner level business plans, and be responsible for new business acquisition across the US and occasionally in emerging international markets. The role also includes participating in the development of strategies to maximize product and brand appeal, analyzing potential opportunities through financial analysis, and regularly monitoring the competitive market landscape. The individual will work independently to provide reporting and business planning updates, serve as a subject matter expert, and communicate complex material effectively to various audiences. Additionally, the role involves leading large cross-functional project teams, building relationships across the enterprise, and representing Skillable at industry events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (business administration, sales, etc.) or relevant professional experience.
  • 10+ years' experience in a senior channel sales or equivalent business development role.
  • Success in sourcing, closing and managing strategic relationships that make material contributions to Skillable annual booking targets.
  • Experience with contract negotiations with Global Systems Integrators, enterprise software, training and testing organizations.
  • Experience building OEM channel relationships, generating six to seven figure per year in revenue.
  • Demonstrable track record of success structuring large, complex software OEM deals, as well as deep experience in building strategic partnerships to accelerate new market development.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell enterprise solutions in a 100% remote environment through strong digital selling skills including effective written communication, social selling, and engaging online presentations.
  • Experience working with internal Product owners to design product solutions that meet a partner’s needs.

Responsibilities

  • Guide and advise on strategic product opportunities to ensure competitive growth and advantage across Skillable’s product offering.
  • Research and analyze market trends and opportunities, competitive environments, and potential business alignments for marketplace expansion.
  • Develop a pipeline of partnership opportunities within the GSI category sufficient to meet and exceed annual growth targets.
  • Create, document, and regularly maintain partner level business plans.
  • Responsible for new business acquisition across the US and on occasion emerging international markets.
  • Participate in the development and ideation of strategies to maximize product and brand appeal to target markets.
  • Partner with leadership and cross functional teams on strategic goals and emerging trends.
  • Analyze and recommend potential opportunities, leveraging detailed financial analysis, financial modeling and business planning.
  • Regularly monitor the competitive market landscape, analyst reporting and other publicly available sources of data to clearly delineate Skillable’s relative position in the region.
  • Work independently to provide regular reporting, business planning updates to Skillable’s GTM management team.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert across Skillable product offerings.
  • Work cross functionally and at multiple levels both internally and externally with key stakeholders.
  • Communicate complex material succinctly and effectively to multiple audiences.
  • Lead large cross-functional project teams including interfacing with partners from marketing, product, and finance.
  • Build and develop key relationships across the enterprise to help build internal enthusiasm and momentum for project initiatives.
  • Help guide and influence decisions with proven data across all levels of the organization.
  • Engage in development opportunities to strengthen skills and competencies.
  • Seek involvement across multiple division initiatives to help with alignment of priorities and avoid duplicative tactical efforts.
  • Represent Skillable at industry events and conferences as required.
  • Support and promote the company values through positive interactions with both internal and external partners and customers on a regular basis.
  • Other strategic business initiatives or cross-functional project involvement as required.
