We're building a more open world. Join us. We are looking for a Strategy Senior Manager to join Hotels.com at Expedia Group. As an individual contributor, you will play a critical role in shaping Hotels.com's global strategy, which is one of the largest brands in the Expedia portfolio with a fiercely loyal customer base. You will report to Hotels.com Head of Strategy & Planning.

Requirements

  • 8+ years (with a Bachelors or 6+ years with a Masters) of experience in strategy within consumer industries, ideally within travel and/or tech.
  • Previous strategy experience at a consulting firm is preferred.
  • Strategic mindset: think long-term, anticipate market trends, and adapt to changing business landscapes.
  • In-depth business case development leveraging analysis in an ambiguous and fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to turn strategy into business results and drive growth.
  • Project management & planning skills.
  • Analytical thinking: leveraging data to inform decisions.
  • Strong relationship-building: able to build a strong network across the various stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in defining & operationalizing key medium- and long-term strategic initiatives to improve the consumer performance and competitive positioning.
  • Evaluate strategic opportunities and develop perspective on implications and actions for the traveler.
  • Monitor the traveler ecosystem to identify market trends.
  • Identify business / value driver opportunities and risks.
  • Assess strategic options and work with key stakeholders to develop the business case.
  • Communicate findings to senior stakeholders, build buy-in.
  • Own end-to-end process from inception through market activation of strategic initiatives.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Product, Supply, Finance, and Analytics teams.
  • Leverage data analytics to drive informed business decisions.
  • Regularly evaluate performance against targets against established financial KPIs.
  • Foster consistency and alignment across diverse markets.
