About The Position

As a Senior Financial Analyst at Engine, you’ll take a key role in helping us scale smarter and faster. Your mission will be to unlock actionable insights across all our demand generation, Product, R&D and support teams to improve how we acquire, grow, and retain customers. You will analyze performance across all key functions including demand generation (Sales, Account Management, Partnerships), R&D, Member Support, to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, customer acquisition, retention, and overall business impact. You will build and own dynamic models and dashboards to track performance and enable data-driven decision-making, such as the revenue model and partnerships model. Additionally, you will design and lead reporting frameworks that surface meaningful insights for leadership and board-level discussions. You will drive strategic initiatives like bookings forecasting, funnel conversion analysis, customer segmentation, and various optimization analytics to drive operational efficiency. Collaboration across functions will be key to define KPIs, build business cases, and measure the success of growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years in investment banking, private equity, consulting, public accounting or FP&A.
  • 1-2 years in a strategic finance role in a high-growth startup environment.
  • Strong analytical thinking and business acumen.
  • Fluency in GTM metrics like CAC, LTV, churn, funnel conversion, and sales velocity.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
  • Familiarity with systems like Adaptive, Salesforce, Looker, or Hubspot is a plus.
