About The Position

Arcadis seeks a Principal Stormwater Engineer to join our growing team in Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, or San Antonio, TX! This is a lead role supporting the development of stormwater opportunities in the Central or North Texas regions. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated professional to contribute and grow our business in Texas. In this position, you will collaborate with our Technical Experts to successfully execute projects and achieve our clients' objectives while providing excellent client services. Requirements

  • 10 or more years' experience.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering in Civil, Environmental, or related.
  • P.E. License or ability to acquire PE Licensure in Texas within 6 months.
  • Excellent technical engineering skills.
  • Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to lead teams and collaborate with clients.

Nice To Haves

  • 12 or more years' experience.
  • Active involvement in local professional organizations, stormwater committees, or green infrastructure groups.
  • Responsible Charge (Engineer of Record) or Project Management experience on stormwater projects of various sizes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the development of resiliency projects for urban drainage systems, streams, and rivers.
  • Manage the planning, design, and construction administration of projects to ensure compliance with contracts, drawings, specifications, codes, statutes, rules, and regulations.
  • Communicate with clients, establishing goals and objectives for project teams, and scheduling and coordinating resources to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the performance expectations of the client.
  • Provide technical expertise on multi-disciplined projects as a design leader, QA/QC reviewer or technical advisor.
  • Supervise and support the work of others while mentoring junior level engineers and technical staff.
  • Work directly with clients to determine needs and deliver solutions and lead the growth of client relationships with target clients.
  • Lead/Support teams in the marketing and proposal phases of projects including preparation of winning proposals and successful presentations.
  • Develop scopes of work and budgets for stormwater and flood resiliency projects.
  • Travel for project site visits, client meetings, safety audits, general planning purposes or to oversee construction activities.
