About The Position

Responsible for providing storage infrastructure, which includes all aspects of Enterprise Storage Administration. Assist in software product installations, updates, and customizations for storage components and switch infrastructure. Diagnose, research and resolve storage issues using vendor resources and other support methods. Act as a technical advisor for system related activity and assist in the development / implementation of solutions for capacity and performance.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of enterprise storage systems and related technology.
  • Experience with IBM and HPE storage arrays.
  • Experience with Brocade SAN fabrics.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's or Associate degree from an accredited college preferred.
  • In lieu of a degree, any combination of applicable education, hardware, software, and storage experience for five (5) years is acceptable.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the support of the SAN fabric.
  • Perform storage allocation on IBM, HPE, and Dell enterprise storage platforms.
  • Assist with Fiber channel configuration.
  • Perform SAN fabric and LUN management.
  • Monitor storage utilization, allocation and performance.
  • Recommends, schedules, budgets and implements resource modifications upgrades.
  • Research state-of-the-art technology for enhancements to reliability, performance and functionality of the storage environment.
  • Provides 24x7 on call support, including evenings, weekends and holidays on a rotational basis with other team members.
  • Works in a team environment.
  • Works closely with other Unix system administrators and Windows System administrators' members to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
  • Works closely with other IT team members to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
  • Works closely with Support Desk team members to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
  • Communicates well with technical and non-technical clients.
