About The Position

Responsible for developing and executing profitable trading opportunities for flat and long steel products in the North American market. Manages the full trading cycle—sourcing, pricing, contracting, logistics coordination—while operating as an independent P&L contributor. Builds strong supplier and customer networks to drive margin growth. Korean/English bilingual ability is essential due to frequent communication with Korean clients.

Requirements

5 ~ 10 years of steel or metals trading experience with a proven P&L track record.
Strong network within North American mills, importers, service centers, or distributors.
Deep understanding of steel market dynamics, international trade, incoterms, and contract negotiation.
Excellent communication, analytical, and relationship management skills.
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Willingness and ability to travel.
Korean/English bilingual required

Responsibilities

Identify and execute trading opportunities for HRC, CRC, HDG, plate, rebar, wire rod, and other steel products.
Prepare, review, and maintain export documents (PO, Invoice, Packing list, BL, etc.).
Monitor order status and coordinate with logistics partners when needed to ensure smooth shipment flow.
Maintain accurate inventory and order records; reconcile with accounting on AP, AR, and inventory.
Build and maintain relationships with mills, traders, service centers, and end users.
Negotiate purchase and sales contracts, pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
Monitor steel market trends, raw material prices, and freight movements to guide trading decisions.
Resolve claims, quality issues, and post-shipment disputes.
Travel as needed for customer visits, supplier meetings, and market development (domestic & occasional international)
