About The Position

The Senior Staff Talent Acquisition Specialist will support Chord Energy's recruiting and staffing needs and facilitate the employee experience. This role will serve as a key contact for designated managers as it relates to recruiting, onboarding, employee development, employee performance and re-recruiting efforts. The ideal candidate has a strong background in recruiting processes and has proven ability to form and promote strong relationships across an organization and be a champion of the company culture and values. This position is located in downtown Houston, TX and will report to the Talent Acquisition Leader. Hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Level and salary commensurate with experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Marketing or related field.
  • 8 years of experience in a Talent Acquisition position.
  • Experience using an HRIS/Applicant Management system (posting job, developing screening questions, screening applications, developing reports, recommending and implementing system enhancements).
  • Knowledge of HR policies and procedures including federal laws regarding employment practices.
  • Understanding of market conditions, job competencies, sourcing strategies and candidate assessment.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong Microsoft skills (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing company.
  • Experience conducting internal investigations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use good judgment and handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Willing to travel.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce results under tight deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, or SHRM-CP designation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing candidates, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and extending offers.
  • Establish recurring meetings throughout the year with leaders to stay informed with the operations of the departments, status of the workforce and to review any HR related issues.
  • Serve as a liaison between candidates and hiring managers; communicating, monitoring, and facilitating progress and addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Understand the operations and strategic drivers of the company and work directly with designated department management to successfully meet objectives.
  • Participate in and/or lead special projects or other HR related assignments as required by the Company's growth and new HR initiatives.
  • Work with the HR team and key managers to identify retention strategies and recommend opportunities for improved employee engagement.
  • Advise, train and be the main point of contact for hiring managers and employees on company policies, procedures and compliance requirements with regards to recruiting and talent management.
  • Proactively develop strong relationships and partnerships within the HR team, operations management, business leaders, external recruiters and other vendors.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure company's compliance.
  • Stay connected to staff through promoting company events, culture and values.
