S&C Electric Company is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to serve as a Technical Lead within our embedded firmware organization. This role combines deep hands‑on development with broad technical ownership, architectural decision‑making, and mentoring influence across projects and teams. As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, you will be responsible for setting firmware technical direction , ensuring architectural integrity, and guiding delivery of complex, safety‑critical embedded systems used in intelligent, microprocessor‑based switch and fault‑interrupting control products. This is remote position. Occasional travel (up to 10%) to other S&C locations (Franklin, Chicago or Alameda) may be required for system integration, advanced debugging, and cross‑site collaboration. You will report to the Embedded Firmware Manager and act as a trusted technical partner to engineering leadership.
