Senior/Staff Software Engineer, Developer Platform
About The Position

Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong coding ability in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar
- Experience building developer platforms, devtools, or infrastructure systems
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems and release engineering
- Strong understanding of observability (metrics, logs, tracing, SLOs)
- Experience working with containers and cloud infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Proven track record of improving developer productivity and system reliability
Nice To Haves
- Experience with large-scale CI systems or monorepo build systems
- Background in building internal developer platforms (service templates, paved roads, developer portals)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform)
- Strong understanding of software supply chain security and deployment safety
- Experience leveraging AI tools to improve developer workflows
Responsibilities
- Design and build internal developer platform tools that improve engineering productivity
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and release workflows
- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in developer workflows (build, test, deploy, local dev)
- Build reusable tooling such as CLIs, service templates, and automation frameworks
- Improve observability across systems (metrics, logs, tracing, alerting, dashboards)
- Partner with product and engineering teams to enhance reliability, operability, and developer experience
- Own platform systems end-to-end, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
