About The Position

Zscaler is looking for an experienced Senior Staff Software Development Engineer to join our Engineering team in San Jose, CA. This hybrid role involves developing and integrating new software features with cloud solutions, designing and implementing robust software solutions while leveraging strong knowledge of Linux network stacks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to create new solutions within the Zscaler ecosystem. The position also requires maintaining quality and innovating features to expand the capabilities of the system, as well as leveraging strong software design principles to create reliable, scalable product improvements.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience with software engineering, specifically in Linux networking and protocol applications
• Expertise in Python with hands-on experience in Linux network commands and libraries
• Strong understanding of network protocols (e.g., HTTP, DHCP, DNS) and industry-standard tools for debugging and troubleshooting
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
