Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality assurance, manufacturing, or similar field.
- 8+ years of experience in quality engineering within the manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve quality issues effectively.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Candidate must be a US citizen or permanent resident.
- Ability to work onsite in Durango, CO.
Nice To Haves
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards such as ISO 9001 or AS9100.
- Strong technical writing skills
- Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt, Certified Quality Engineer, etc.
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve processes to support consistent execution, scalability, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior Quality Engineers to help them progress in their career.
- Develop and implement project-specific quality plans and procedures to ensure adherence to quality standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop and maintain project quality documentation, including quality control plans, inspection checklists, and test procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate project performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability of quality records, including non-conformance reports, inspection reports, and corrective action reports.
- Train project team members on quality standards, processes, and procedures to promote a culture of quality throughout the project.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure compliance with quality requirements and resolve any quality-related issues.
- Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on quality performance and improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quality management to ensure continuous improvement of project quality processes.
