About The Position

Horizon3.ai is a fast-growing, remote cybersecurity company dedicated to the mission of enabling organizations to proactively find and fix and verify exploitable attack vectors before criminals exploit them. We are seeking an experienced Platform Product Manager to join our Product organization and work closely with the Vice President of Product. This role is critical to the success of our platform and requires strong systems thinking, technical depth, and the ability to operate across multiple product lines and teams. As Platform Product Manager, you will own the scalability, reliability, performance, and operational excellence of our platform. You will define and drive platform capabilities that enable feature teams to build and ship confidently while meeting strict SLAs, SLOs, security, and compliance requirements. You will engage cross-functionally with Engineering, SRE, Security, Support, and Customer Success to design, plan, and deliver platform functionality that improves system stability, accelerates development, and enhances internal and external customer outcomes. You are a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes end-to-end ownership of complex platform initiatives, and serves as a key liaison between engineering, product, security, and go-to-market teams. You will translate technical and operational needs into clear, prioritized deliverables backed by measurable outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience, with a strong focus on platform, infrastructure, or technical products
  • Deep understanding of SaaS architectures, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure
  • Experience defining and managing SLAs, SLOs, and operational metrics
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, SRE, security, support, and customer success teams
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to prioritization and decision-making
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences
  • Experience working with Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Proficiency with common product management and analytics tools

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • An advanced degree in engineering or business is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Product Strategy: Collaborate with the Director of Platform Engineering to define and execute the platform product strategy, ensuring alignment with company growth objectives, scalability needs, reliability goals, and customer expectations.
  • Product Roadmap Ownership: Develop and manage the platform roadmap, balancing reliability, scalability, security, and performance investments with feature delivery and business priorities.
  • Platform SLAs, SLOs & Reliability: Own platform SLAs, SLOs, and error budgets across core systems. Partner with Engineering and SRE to improve availability, reduce incidents, and drive continuous reliability improvements.
  • Database Platform Ownership: Own database resiliency, scaling, and performance optimization. Drive architectural improvements to support growth, isolation, and operational efficiency.
  • Data Platform Strategy: Define and own the data platform roadmap, including future-looking architecture, real-time ETL capabilities, and database/workload isolation. Ensure pipelines meet reliability and latency SLOs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with engineering, SRE, security, product, support, and customer success teams to align platform investments with company strategy and customer needs.
  • Sales and Customer Success Liaison: Act as a bridge between the product management team and the sales and customer success teams, ensuring product capabilities are aligned with customer needs and market demands.
  • Product Performance Analysis: Define and analyze platform performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and make data-driven prioritization decisions.
  • Technical Documentation: Oversee the creation and maintenance of clear technical documentation to support internal teams and operational excellence.
