About The Position

The Senior Staff Product Designer will own projects from start to finish, collaborate across disciplines, and work with a cross-functional team committed to making the web accessible to everyone. This role requires someone who can set direction and then execute on it: shaping product strategy one week and shipping production-ready screens the next. If you do your best work on hard, messy problems and know how to bring people along with clear communication, you'll fit right in.

Requirements

  • 8+ years designing and shipping high-quality enterprise experiences, especially in complex, ambiguous problem spaces where the right answer isn't obvious
  • Passionate about the customer's perspective and motivated by real ownership. You simplify complicated problems rather than adding layers to them
  • You don't wait for perfect requirements to make progress
  • Strong as both a strategic thinker and a hands-on executor. You can define a vision and then build it
  • Comfortable taking on work beyond traditional product design: writing PRDs, running user research, contributing to bug bashes, building dashboards to measure engagement
  • Skilled at shipping iterative solutions while keeping long-term product and UX goals in view, with strong attention to usability, visual design, universal design, and content design
  • Proficient in Figma, GitHub/Git/VSCode, Jira, and Heap, plus AI tools like Cursor or Claude Code
  • A strong cross-functional communicator who can align stakeholders and navigate competing priorities without making it a whole thing
  • Experienced partnering with engineering: you review PRs, contribute to design systems, and occasionally make UX-specific front-end improvements yourself
  • Familiar with designing and running user research studies, both generative and evaluative, and using what you learn to sharpen the work
  • Able to build process from scratch, manage concurrent workstreams, and see projects through to completion
  • Portfolio that demonstrates strong visual design and intuitive interactions, with particular depth in data-centric enterprise desktop applications

Responsibilities

  • Create meaningful impact by deeply understanding what our customers need and translating that into better experiences
  • Lead projects through the full design lifecycle: partner with PMs and engineers to define problems, explore solutions, test assumptions, ship, and measure
  • Balance near-term constraints with long-term vision, defining what we build now and setting up what comes next
  • Own problems wherever they lead, even when that takes you outside traditional design boundaries
  • Move between strategic design work and hands-on execution. This role requires both, often in the same week
  • Communicate design decisions and trade-offs clearly to cross-functional partners, executives, and stakeholders at every level
  • Help build a culture of creative expression, experimentation, and craft
  • Investigate implementation realities: understand constraints, costs, and technical opportunities before locking in direction
  • Use AI-powered tools to accelerate workflows, explore concepts, and improve team productivity
  • Identify and introduce tools or processes that solve real day-to-day problems

Benefits

  • Work with a talented but humble team
  • Competitive compensation and equity
  • Weekly paid family meal
  • 401k, medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Flexible PTO Policy
  • 15.5 company-paid holidays including Juneteenth, MLK Day and a 1-week company shut down
  • To support remote work conditions, AudioEye provides each employee a one-time stipend of $300
