Team Description: The Search and Answers team at Reddit focuses on delivering the most relevant results and recommendations when users search for anything on Reddit. We provide this content to users in the form of Reddit Search and through Reddit Answers, our new gen AI product. We are looking for a Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer to lead our Relevance team and take our search systems to the next level. Our goal is to make Reddit Search the best place on the internet to find answers, opinions, and conversations. Redditors produce the most amazing content about every niche topic in the world – this underleveraged data coupled with modern advances in AI systems is presenting a unique opportunity to quickly build a new kind of search engine. You will design and build a large-scale system that can power highly relevant search experiences. You will work across multiple areas of the stack, incl. query understanding, retrieval, ranking, features, measurement, LLM-based answers etc, partnering deeply with PMs, org leads, and other XFN to deliver reliable, high quality systems that can help Reddit Search scale to a billions users.
