About The Position

Zscaler is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join our team. This critical role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing systems and workflows to ensure infrastructure reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency within a cloud-first environment. This position is hybrid, and you will work from our San Jose, CA office three days a week, reporting to the manager of the Zero Trust Branch Team.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience working in infrastructure operations, DevOps, or site reliability roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in system observability, including log analysis and metrics monitoring using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar platforms.
• Hands-on experience architecting and managing workflows for application delivery automation (e.g. Argo/GitOps).
• Advanced Kubernetes (EKS, Helm) administration skills, including workload orchestration and cluster optimization.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field-or equivalent work experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in designing and managing GitLab CI/CD pipelines and aligning systems with security and compliance frameworks (e.g., FIPS, SOC2).
• Familiarity with AI infrastructure operations, such as using AI/ML to monitor, adapt, and optimize infrastructure performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain systems for proactive outage prevention and observability, including building dashboards using Elastic flow logs to monitor system resource usage such as CPU, memory, and performance metrics.
• Architect and maintain Argo/GitOps workflows for application delivery automation with high availability and efficiency, while troubleshooting workflow failures and optimizing pipeline performance.
• Lead Kubernetes (EKS, Helm) implementation and management for scalable containerized applications, including workload orchestration, cluster performance optimization, and securing environments.
