Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil/site design, preferably within a consulting engineering environment.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of site development design, stormwater management, grading, and utility design.
  • Familiarity with local and state permitting processes and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Perform civil engineering design and analysis for site development projects including grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, and erosion and sediment control.
  • Prepare and review engineering plans, reports, calculations, and specifications.
  • Coordinate with internal multidisciplinary teams including structural, transportation, environmental, and survey departments.
  • Assist Project Managers with project planning, scheduling, and budget management.
  • Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies throughout the design and permitting process.
  • Review and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and design standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and engineering interns.
  • Participate in project meetings, site visits, and field inspections as required.
  • Support proposal preparation and business development efforts when needed.
