About The Position

We are seeking a Senior System Engineer to join our team. You will lead system-level design, integration, and optimization across our AI-driven Video Surveillance as a Service (VSaaS) platform. In this role, you will work on mission-critical components spanning edge devices, backend services, and both cloud and on-prem infrastructure -- ensuring the system is reliable, secure, and highly performant at scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 6+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
  • OR
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 5+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
  • OR
  • PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of experience in system engineering, infrastructure, or SRE roles.
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems, networking, storage and system integration.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and resolve cross-layer system issues.
  • Experience with cameras, IoT devices, video streaming, and media processing.
  • Hands-on experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
  • Knowledge of security and privacy considerations in video surveillance systems.
  • Prior experience with performance, load, and stress testing in large-scale distributed system

Responsibilities

  • Architect and maintain system-level integrations between edge devices, backend services, and external systems in cloud or on-prem environments.
  • Manage large-scale system deployments, configurations, and runtime operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify system bottlenecks, conduct performance tuning, and improve end-to-end reliability.
  • Design and implement observability solutions, including logging, metrics, tracing, and real-time alerting, to ensure system visibility and uptime.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues involving device firmware, networking, storage, and backend services.
  • Drive system validation, stress testing, fault tolerance testing, and infrastructure optimization.
