Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
2–4 years of experience in civil/site design (land development experience preferred)
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Familiarity with stormwater design and hydrology/hydraulics software (e.g., HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, or similar)
Understanding of local permitting and regulatory processes
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team environment
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or on track to obtain
Experience working in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment
Exposure to municipal, commercial, or residential land development project

Responsibilities

Assist in the design and development of civil/site plans, including grading, drainage, utilities, and erosion & sediment control
Prepare construction documents, reports, and technical specifications
Perform site layout, stormwater management, and utility design calculations
Support the preparation of permit applications and regulatory submissions
Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines
Conduct site visits and assist with construction observation as needed
Review and interpret survey data, zoning requirements, and environmental constraints
Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations
