About The Position

The Senior Staff Analyst, Supplier Quality K&B position at Kohler involves providing comprehensive support for the Vitreous category, which includes vitreous, plastic, and electronics products. Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in manufacturing quality and/or design engineering
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring quality management systems
  • Experience in defining, monitoring, and improving KPIs at suppliers
  • Experience with PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Process Qualification & Six Sigma DMAIC tools
  • Experience with basic and advanced metrology
  • Demonstrated ability to drive engineering solutions to complex problems through RCA
  • Basic manufacturing knowledge
  • Knowledge of vitreous china product manufacturing is an advantage
  • Customer complaint handling experience with understanding of metrics like UFR & CCU
  • Experience with 8D corrective actions
  • Experience using Microsoft Office

  • Knowledge of toilets, lavatories, bath tubs, etc.
  • Minitab software usage is an added advantage

Responsibilities

  • Lead Supplier Quality Engineering activities for Vitreous Product Development and Ongoing Production
  • Work with suppliers on corrective action for supplier part/finished goods issues
  • Lead the cross-functional Print & Process Review for purchased parts
  • Organize attendees, define timelines, and understand key characteristics and GD&T callouts
  • Conduct PPAP (production part approval process) for purchased components and finished goods
  • Coordinate requirements for DFM, Sample trials, Process Qualification & Verification Testing
  • Work with suppliers & expert feedback to mitigate manufacturing risk
  • Use GD&T & tolerance stack up knowledge to review designs
  • Establish and implement consistent supplier selection and assessment processes
  • Conduct onsite quality assessments of potential suppliers and drive recordable improvements
  • Support and document project work
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Utilize production and field data to mitigate production and customer risk
  • Utilize SPC, Lean and Six Sigma to drive improvements in quality, cost, and delivery
  • Monitor and communicate supplier response and follow-up activities on non-conforming products
  • Travel up to 20-30% of the time, both domestic and international
