We are recruiting for a Senior Staff Accountant to join a healthcare company with a multi-state presence. This is an onsite role for our client in the Roseville area who was voted one of the best places to work! Our client offers a fun, entrepreneurial and collaborative work environment. The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting with month-end close processes, financial statement preparation, journal entries, reconciliations, audits and reporting. Salary: $70,000-$90,000 DOE. The qualified candidate will have strong GL accounting, process improvement and account reconciliation experience.

Assist with the month-end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation.
Post and process journal entries ensuring all business transactions are recorded.
Prepare account reconciliations and supporting sub-ledgers, including bank and credit card reconciliations.
Perform periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries.
Report and process sales and use/excise taxes and managed service provider (MSP) fees.
Assist with documentation and testing of the enterprise reporting system (ERP) updates and modifications.
Evaluate and create processes to increase efficiency related to accounting duties.
Assist outside auditors by gathering necessary account information and documentation to perform annual audit.
Perform other projects as requested by management.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required.
Minimum two years of experience in accounting, account reconciliation, or similar role.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to act and operate independently and as a part of a team.
Proficient with email and Microsoft Office applications; especially Excel.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Healthcare Industry knowledge is preferred.
Proficient understanding of GAAP accounting and practices preferred.
Experience working within an ERP environment, (Oracle NetSuite preferred).
Experience in preparing internal financial statements, both consolidated and divisional/business unit.
Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost allocation.
