About The Position

The Senior Staff Accountant plays a key role in supporting the financial integrity and operational performance of ASPC. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and providing meaningful financial analysis to support business decisions. The role partners closely with the Corporate Controller and cross-functional leaders to drive continuous improvement, cost efficiency, and scalability within a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (manufacturing experience strongly preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Corporate Controller to ensure accurate, timely, and meaningful financial reporting and analysis.
  • Prepare, review, and post journal entries, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • Lead the preparation, review, and reconciliation of general ledger accounts (account reconciliations).
  • Understand and support core accounting functions including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Payroll, Cash Management, and Forecasting.
  • Assist in maintaining standard costing models and inventory valuation methodologies within a manufacturing environment.
  • Prepare and analyze manufacturing KPIs and operational data to identify cost reduction opportunities and efficiency improvements.
  • Support capital expenditure planning, including financial modeling and ROI analysis for equipment and technology investments.
  • Establish, document, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support external audits and reviews by preparing documentation.
  • Partner with Corporate Controller to optimize accounting and financial systems and ensure accurate data integration with manufacturing systems.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of accounting processes.
  • Mentor and support development of accounting team members, promoting a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Commercial teams to support business objectives.
